Per Bloomberg, it's happening. No details yet but this is 1000% a company I'll buy on day 1.

Any guesses on the ticker symbol? I'm guessing $ROBN but hoping for $HOOD

I've been pretty outspoken about my belief that Robinhood will be one of the most transformational companies of an entire generation. There's definitely room for improvement around their communication and reliability, no question, but to me that's part of a very worthwhile tradeoff.

Step back for a second and think about the long term impact we'll see as a result of the fact that millions more people now participate in capital markets... The fact that for young people, the "cool" thing to do is invest and be smart about money and business will have MASSIVE ramifications as this demographic advances in their career. They'll have learned finance, markets and economics from way earlier than most people in past generations, myself included. Even if some learn it the hard way with painful losses and learn YOLO risks firsthand, I'd argue that's incredibly healthy on balance.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

I'm a perfect example of the value market participation has when started younger, and RH didn't exist until I was ~30. I also think the best way to learn is to make these lessons more engaging and participatory, which RH has done by enabling everyone to have skin in the game.

To me, increased participation in capital markets is unquestionably a net-positive for society and Robinhood led the charge making it happen.

Now I'm excited for @commonstock to help guide that participation constructively as it grows
